This is the premiere spring-time Hackathon in the Montery Bay! Come to the coastal CSUMB campus for several days of hacking, socializing, and fun - food and workspace provided at no cost! This is an official MLH Hackathon, and they will be providing a technology lab to accompany the rest of the activities!

Eligibility

Eligibility details available on MLH Hackathon site. In short - any student at any institution is welcome to join. Unfortunately at this time this is a student-only event, due to our location inside and affiliation with CSUMB.

Requirements

No projects may be submitted that contain functionality that was not designed and coded during the hackathon. Libraries, modules, etc are fine - but the larger scope and functionality of the project must be original and created during the event.

Judging Criteria

  • Techincal Complexity
    20 points of the 80 points possible is assigned based on technical complexity of the project.
  • Polish/Functionality
    The judging will be done in a demonstration style - each group needs to be ready to present their projects for judging. The functionality and quality of the demonstration will be taken into account and is worth 20 points out of 80 total points available.
  • Originality
    The originality of the project will be responsible for 20 points out of 80 total available.
  • Usefulness
    The usefulness of the project will be taken into account and is worth 20 points out of 80 total points available.
  • *ON TIME*
    No exceptions. All submissions must be on time, and we suggest submitting by 11am at the latest. No exceptions. All projects must be submitted by the deadline. No exceptions. Submit early, submit often. No exceptions.
